Outreach
Christ Church Outreach
The people of Christ Church care about our world and hope to live into our Baptismal Covenant to serve Christ in all people. We do this on an ecumenical basis with our work and donations to Grace Lutheran Church’s Food Bank in Somers Point. We also support our local community, as well as persons and communities in need in other parts of the United States and the Developing Countries.
Most of our Outreach Ministry is in the form of personal time and effort in support of our local Shore Memorial Hospital and the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. Several of our parishioners volunteer to help at the hospital in a variety of ways. Every year the parish organizes the collecting of toys for children of families who are served by the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. In addition, personal care items are donated for the children’s mothers so that each child may give their mother a Christmas gift.

Please place your donations in the offering baskets near the Baptismal font in the nave. Your contributions will be delivered to Shore Memorial Hospital, the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, and the Ecumenical Food Bank at Grace Lutheran Church, Somers Point. Thank you!

Drink Pouch Brigade
Recycle your waste with Capri Sun® and Honest Kids®
Bring your empty juice pouches to the collection box, and we can earn $0.02 per pouch to share through our ministries!
We are now helping the environment and using that mission to aid our church ministries. In our household, we can easily collect three or four juice pouches a day, and those pouches are not biodegradable. They will stay in landfills forever. TerraCycle will take these products and upcycle them into new, cool products, and then they will send us $0.02 for each pouch. We can then donate that money to the ministries in our church.
Please start collecting your empty juice pouches and bring them to church with you. After we have collected the required amount, we will send them to TerraCycle and start earning points. Don't forget to save your pouches in coffee hour, too!
Here is a video explaining the process.
